cooperative artist: jerry woodstone sculpture, wood sculpture, wooden signs, wood signs, caricatures, stone carving, wood carvingSculpture a dance of labor and loveBorn and raised in the Rocky Mountains, I have always had a love for the vastness of the region, as well as the beauty all around. The inspiration for my artwork is derived from the experiences of being raised in the Rocky Mountains, whether is be landscapes or wildlife. Each medium lends it own magic to the creation of my artwork.
Jerry learned how to stone carve in 1979 at Blackhawk School of Art. Taught by Robert Lockhart, Jerry was a natural in working with the stone. Jerry began selling his artwork professionally in 1993 and most recently built a studio on his property that allows him to work on several pieces at once and still have room to move around or to teach workshops. Jerry also works in school settings, is currently working with local boy scouts and teaches individual classes.
